Get Ready for the WOW Factor!

March 18, 2026

Have you experienced exceptional service at a Palatine Park District facility that left you thinking, “WOW”?

Whether it was an instructor who made a class memorable, or a staff member who went above and beyond to give you the best experience possible, those moments matter and we want to celebrate them.

The WOW Award is Palatine Park District’s fun and fresh way to recognize outstanding staff members who went the extra mile in providing exceptional service, support, and dedication to our Palatine community.

Whether they are solving a super-sized problem or taking part in a small act of kindness, we want to recognize those team members that make the Palatine Park District special.

Christine Hubka, Customer Service Manager, nominated one of this month’s WOW Award winners, Kathy Ragan. “I cannot begin to tell you how many guests have told me how wonderful she is,” Hubka said. “Her positive personality is a joy to everyone who comes in.”

Each month, nominations are collected from both staff and the community, highlighting these WOW moments. Winners are selected and recognized for their hard work.

“All staff, full-time, part-time, and seasonal are eligible for WOW Awards,” Hubka said.

March 2026 WOW Award Winners:

Rich Armstrong, Community Center Customer Service Representative

LoriAnne Nelson, Graphic Designer

Kathy Ragan, Fitness Center Customer Service Representative

Help us celebrate the moments that make a difference. Recognize a team member who added that special WOW factor to your day by visiting palparks.org/WOW to submit a nominee.
